eco-star base garments are certified by the Worldwide Fairtrade Standard (F.L.O.)
All the cotton used in their manufacture is grown on a certified organic farm in India. The farm employs local families that live and work on the land.
They grow organic mango and coconut trees plus various plants including chillies, as well as the organic cotton that makes up our base garments.
W.R.A.P. & SA800 certification ensures that no part of the business operation, supplying base clothing to eco-star, inadvertently or otherwise supports the exploitation of labour within its own company, its suppliers and in turn their supplier chain.
In the U.K. all our sewing is done at our own premises in Swansea, South Wales by the hard working (when they're not surfing) eco-star team.
So in other words, Fair Trade and people friendly from start to finish.
