 Check out these elastic bands made from recycled bike inner tubes and bottle openers using bike frame parts. Made by gump- & drahtesel in Switzerland, you can find some of their other stuff here. Found by margovstom. New Zealand computer engineer Mike Grobelny has created a CAD designed, CNC-routered wooden honeycomb surfboard. He's also working on board fins based on the shape of Maui Dolphins fins - "I’m not sure I’ll get too far into aquadynamics but I figure biomimicry is a good start".
